二 | 　平子は両親が好きだった渥美清さんに影響を受け、芸人を目指したこともあり、渥美さんと親交が深い黒柳にある質問を…。山田洋次監督がメガホンを取った「男はつらいよ」シリーズで知られる渥美さんは、プライベートは明かさない主義の俳優としても知られ、がんに罹患したことも明かさず、1996年に68歳で亡くなったときも荼毘に付された後に、山田監督をはじめ各所に知らせたほど。黒柳と渥美さんは親友で、他界後に山田監督と共著で「渥美清に逢いたい」という本を出している。

三 | 　一方、酒井は友人に誘われ、元々お笑いが好きだったこともあり芸人になったことを明かした。　下積み時代はアルバイト生活を送り、平子は家族のために解散を考えたが、妻が貯金を切り崩して家庭を支えてくれた。今では愛妻家コンビとしても知られ、2児の父として仕事と子育てに奮闘の日々を送っている。コンビ結成20年の2人は、今後の夢についても語った。
